Contacts
Contacts is a list of the visitors who have chatted with your agent. Open your agent and choose Contacts.
What you see
Each row is an anonymous visitor, identified by an ID. Contacts does not hold names, emails or phone numbers. For people who shared their details, use Leads.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Visitor ID | The first characters of the visitor's ID (hover to see it all). |
| First Seen | When they first chatted. |
| Last Active | When they last chatted. |
| Messages | How many messages they have sent. |
Using the list
- Click a column heading to sort. The default is Last Active, newest first.
- Search by visitor ID.
- Choose 10, 20 or 50 rows per page, and use Refresh to reload.
Contacts, leads and handoff: which is which?

| Contacts | Every visitor who chatted, without personal details. |
| Leads | Visitors who shared their name, email or phone. |
